Mechron has unrivalled experience in DC Power Solutions. Mechron was the industry pioneer in the use of DC power in its Cycle ChargeTM system, which provides superior reliability to AC systems at a fraction of the overall cost. Mechron’s DC Power Solutions also allow for simple integration of renewable power sources such as solar and wind power.
 Cycle ChargeTM
Cycle ChargeTM provides a cost-effective solution to power for remote and unattended facilities. A typical remote facility operates at peak load only a small percentage of the time. In the Cycle ChargeTM system, station batteries provide primary site power, while a DC generator set cycles to maintain the batteries at an acceptable level of charge. This eliminates the need to size the primary generator set for peak loads, dramatically reducing the ongoing operation costs. The Cycle ChargeTM system allows for the use of environmentally friendly power sources such as solar and wind power to further reduce fuel consumption. Cycle ChargeTM also offers remote monitoring and control capability. The Cycle ChargeTM system can provide savings of up to 70% in operations and maintenance costs compared to a conventional prime power system.

 Hybrid/Renewable
Mechron's DC Solutions allow for the easy integration of renewable power sources in hybrid power systems. Renewable power sources such as solar and wind are easily connected to a DC power system to create a redundant power source. Mechron's hybrid renewable power systems allow for the use of renewable power sources in applications where the intermittent nature of renewable power would otherwise not be acceptable.
 DC Generators
DC Generators are the heart of Mechron’s DC Solutions. Mechron employs high reliability components in its DC generators, including Mechron standard DC alternators and controls. Mechron’s DC generators have been proven through years of trouble-free service in prime power, standby and Cycle ChargeTM applications. DC generators provide a lower cost, higher reliability, simpler installation alternative to AC generators for most DC-powered systems.
