Mechron’s Field Power Distribution Units are an essential part of the power distribution system for medium sized temporary camps. The Field Power Distribution Unit, also known as a Secondary Distribution Unit (SDU), steps down voltage from a high voltage central power distribution unit to provide power directly to user loads. By allowing the central power distribution system to operate at a higher voltage, the size and cost of cable for the camp is greatly reduced.Mechron’s Field Power Distribution Units are designed to meet the needs of military use. Constructed with a high strength steel frame, these units are equipped with quick disconnect Cam-Lok and pin-and-sleeve connectors for quick and safe setup and teardown. Forklift pockets and lifting eyes are provided for movement in the field. |
